Founded in 1897 in Antwerp by Sylvain de Jong, Minerva quickly became a symbol of luxury and refinement. Its cars were favoured by royalty, film stars, and even Henry Ford. They were equipped with the revolutionary Knight sleeve-valve engine, known as “Sans Soupapes”. Though production ceased in the 1930s, Minerva remains an icon in automotive history.
